    • The collection showcases some of the local talent (albeit questionable) of Australian pulp fiction. From westerns, romance, horror, all the way through to crime and mystery. If I were to be critical - I'd have to say the distinct lack of Carter Brown covers (the author does note this and provides an explanation) did damper this collection somewhat.     • I was so pleased to come across this book as Australian pulp fiction has such a low profile in my country that its in danger of being lost to time. American Pulp fiction is celebrated,collected, traded, reprinted and continues to have a devoted readership. Not so in Australia and its only been in recent years that libraries and institutions have taken an interest in acknowledging it and preserving it.
