    • The spumante language of Malaparte is an excellent desert for literature gourmants. I read the book in latvian translation so praise goes also to the translator. Still the bubbles and sparkles of the winding senteces keeps reader awake and excited despite almost no dialogues throughout the book.Malaparte makes you fall in love with Tuscany and its people. The irony and sarcasm that sometimes reaches the crunchy shores of absurd are not meant as accusations or witty sermons. Malaparte mastrers th [...]

Pienākums lika to izlasīt un man nenācās vilties.

    • Ah, Malaparte, uvek me oduševiš.

    • Poison-pen love letter for Suckert's people. It's a relief to read his singular prose on a light subject.
