    • Allure of the Gypsies is the much anticipated third installment in the Legends of Windemere fantasy series by author Charles E. Yallowitz. I started in this series with the first book, "Beginning of a Hero." Since then, I have joyfully made my way through "Prodigy of Rainbow Tower" and now onto this book. So, what did I think of this latest novel? Pull up a seat and allow me to tell you. First of all, I liked that this book did not immediately run rampant with the main hero of the story, Luke Ca [...]

    • Technically sound, in some spots it is dialogue heavy, others it is action heavy. The new characters are highly developed and easy to accept into the Windemere universe. New bad guys/gals blend in well, new good guys/gals blend in just as well. Not an easy thing to do with as many characters and personalities that exist within Windemere. He pulled it off.A curveball with some of the characters behaving in new and exciting ways. I was not anticipating this, and was kind of shocked at how differen [...]

I started reading this series not long after it was released. Beginning of a Hero reeled me in to Windemere. Prodigy sucked me even further in to the characters and events. Allure of the Gypsies was more engaging. There was great character development and as we follow Luke back to his home town, we learn more about his history and why he does things and thinks the way he does. Add in Nyx and now Sari, stir in the Lich and Trinity and Kalam and Isaiah and you have the makings of a great book. The [...]

    • Allure of the Gypsies is the third book in the Windemere series. It is a huge undertaking to launch into fantasy as a writer, creating a world that the reader can find believable and walk in imagination. Inevitable comparisons are made to the great and good of the genre and a good idea can be hard to sustain through a whole series.Yallowitz not only sustains but enhances his world, the plot and the characters. I have the distinct feeling that were we to look inside his imagination we would find h [...]

    • The most recent installment in the "Legend of Windemere" was a solid fantasy read, which I enjoyed quite a bit. It differs from previous books by focusing on something much more similar to a classical fantasy adventure. What I liked- The close friendship between Nyx and Luke is an endless well of entertainment.- General characters dynamics and humor worked well.- A welcome visit to Luke's family and birthplace- Villains felt like they had more depth this time.(Trinity in particular)What I didn't [...]

    • What began as a series I once considered on par with Dragonlance with elements of the Belgariad, comes crashing down in book 3. While the Heroic High Fantasy part of this book remains as good as the first 2, the author adds sexual hijinks that reminded me of cross between the "plot" of Hot Dog the Movie and Dangerous Liasons. During the course of this book, multiple characters, many who the MC cares about, sleep around with each other, and justify by claiming that one of the cultures in the book [...]

    • I thoroughly enjoyed Allure of the Gypsies. I've read the first two books of the series and continue to find the author creating great new characters and continuing to build my understanding of the existing characters. Let's talk about action. The author creates interesting action sequences with believable use of fantasy elements. He is very creative. There are also good sections where the characters stretch out and we get to know them better. This is the third book in a great series. If you lik [...]

    • I really like windmere as a world. Even though the moral code hints that the author enjoys adult websites far too much. The only complaint I have is that the main hero Luke seems like he's turning out to be a emotional messand his powers doesn't seem to be on par with his peers either. I hope to see a developement on that part. A weak main hero can be very frustrating.

    • As a newbie fantasy reader, I am continually amazed by Mr. Yallowitz’s ability to develop an interesting and captivating tale. This is my third Legends of Windemere book read and can say they get better and better. Mr. Yallowitz has introduced a new character Sari who is deeply captivating and able to hold up the quality and complexity of previous and current characters. The current cast all remain in their performance profile and become more well-rounded in their personalities. This story als [...]

    • Allure of the Gypsies follows Luke, Nyx and Aedyn as they make their way to Luke’s home town of Haven, which he left in disgrace a year earlier. However there is more waiting for him at home than he bargained for.The story follows pretty much straight on from where it left off in Prodigy of Rainbow Tower.Apart from old favourites Luke, Nyx and Aedyn, we are introduced to a new character, Sari. I honestly found it extremely hard to like Sari. I found her to be a bit of an idiot however I’m no [...]

An excellent addition to the series, with a plot that will keep you guessing while sending you on an emotional rollercoaster ride.
