    • ‘The One That Got Away’ is the first book that I’ve read by both Stephanie Motes and Grace Moskola. Though it is the third work I’ve read with Motes name on it.There was an odd kind of vibe to this book. Two immediate issues: the book really felt as if two 17 year olds were having something like a summer fling (though both used words indicating that they didn’t wish to have just a summer fling) in between college semesters (based on how the two acted, how the parents acted, at the time [...]

    • If you like sappy romances, (did I say sappy? I meant SAPPY,) especially between butch and femmes, then this story will be for you. It was too drippy for me, but then I tend to like a little more realistic portrayal of my characters. These characters felt two dimensions and one sided. I wouldn't be able to put up with all the shenanigans that went on in the relationship. And reading about them was painful. Most of the second half of the book felt whiny and contrived. The ending felt a little for [...]

    • This is a poorly written book populated with characters who are so wooden and fake that it's awful. AVOID.

    • Fantastic book! I loved the character interactions and I cannot wait for the next book!

    • I wanted more What happens next? Do Chris' family become an issue? What happens with Joel and uncle buddy? Maybe a sequel will happen at some point.

    • I enjoyed the book greatly. It however ends abruptly. It could have been more indepth about the girls lives apart. maybe 2 books instead of one. It left me wanting more.
